The P88 Valise (Slade Wallace) was introduced to replace the short-lived P82 system.. The new pattern was designed around the .303 Lee Metford rifle which fires a .30 caliber bullet as opposed to the .45 caliber Martini Henry. The P88 was considered to be a “modern” design and components can be seen in the P37 equipment of World War Two. The set is comprised of: One pair of braces (cross straps) One waistbelt with locket (buckle). Two ammo pouches . Two belt loop slides Two Chapes One bayonet frog. Two Greatcoat straps One canteen (mess tin) strap. One valise (backpack). All pieces are sold separately with a discount for purchasing the entire set. |
